January 23rd, 2010
While on our trip to Brugge, Linda and I met this very nice couple in the Restaurant where we were having dinner. Of course I interrupted their conversation to take a photo of them, oops no flash with me! The next day they were on their way to Antwerp, “the diamond capital of the world”. I’m not sure if they both had the same thing in mind while going there? Hopefully we’ll find out some day, as we gave them our card and let them know we did “Destination Wedding’.
Adam’s Bar Mitzvah
January 23rd, 2010
What an amazing assignment. We just recently returned from Belgium, where we had the honor to photograph the Bar Mitzvah for Adam Kramer. A few years ago we had photographed his sister Rachael’s Bat Mitzvah here in the Lehigh Valley. When Adam’s mother Kim asked us to consider coming over to Belgium, where thay are currently living, to be a part of Adam’s special event, we were thrilled. The assignment was a multi-day event. We arrived in Brussels on Thursday morning and were taken to the local of the event and hotel, Chateau du lac, in Genval. It was a truly beautiful. On Friday, we joined family and friends to tour the heart of Brussels and then a dinner of “mussels and beer” at Chez Leon, a famous restaurant in Brussels, founded in 1893. If you ever have the opportunity, the mussels are to die for! We were able to capture many of the main sites of Brussels and great candid and casually posed photos of the family and their friends throughout the night.
Saturday morning we photographed family and a few staged photographs in advance of the Bar Mitzvah, as there was no photography allowed during the ceremony, which we thought was unfortunate, but the rules are the rules. An amazing luncheon followed, which you can see in the beginning of Adam’s Party photographs. That evening, the Salons du Lac were transformed into a place of wonder and awe! The entertainment was provided by Alleluias Sprl. The actors were dressed in Renaissance type attire and treated the quests to the dances of that era, with a surprise dance lesson later in the evening. there was a magician who truly did have a great bag of tricks. Of special interest, was when Adam joined other musicians to play a number on his Cello. He received a well deserved round of applause from all in attendance.
As Sunday came we were able to go back into Brussels and capture some more of the sites and then on Monday on to Brugge, an incredibly charming city about an hour train ride from Brussels. Images of other days can be seen as well on our web-site.
The event was just about perfect. We were honored to be a part of it and it was great to see many of the family members and friends that had been at Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah.
If you would like to see the entire event, go to our web-site www.reflectionscreativephotography.com, select: Client Proof, from the drop down menu, User Name = Adam, Password = Kramer.
Hope you enjoy!
Christina & Mike Adams Wedding
January 10th, 2010
Christina Cerciello & Mike Adams were married yesterday at The Bank Street Annex, in Easton, PA. Christina, Mike and their entire Wedding Party and Family were wonderful to work with. Kerry Harrington, Banquet Manager and her staff did an amazing job as always, www.bankstreetannex.com. The music was provided D’Amico Entertainment. Chris and his crew are one of the best set of entertainers we’ve seen in a long time, www.DamicoEntertainment.com. Dale & Glen of Elysian Fields Speciality Florals, www.elysianfieldsflorals.com, designed a flower presentation that fit the Bride and her party to a tee, but what else is new. Yesterdays Wedding was beautiful and completely fun, just like our Bride & Groom. If you would like to see their images, just go to www.reflectionscreativephotography.com, select Client Proof, User Name = Christina & Mike, Password = Adams. Enjoy!
Melissa & Tim’s Wedding Story
January 2nd, 2010
Melissa & Tim were married on New Year’s Eve at Sacred Heart Parish in Bath, then had their Reception at The Stroudsmore Country Inn amidst a wintery mix of weather, which created an unbelievable backdrop outside the reception facility for the perfect New Years celebration. The Bride & Groom made the perfect couple and could have been on the top of any one’s Wedding Cake. This was our 1st “iPod” Wedding, with no Band or DJ, but the B&G had done a great job of selecting music for the evening, which actually kept the dance floor filled most of the night. At midnight, we had the traditional count down coupled with a champagne toast. It was a great was to start off the New Year! If you would like to see their Wedding Images go to www.reflectionscreativephotography.com, choose Client Proof from the drop down menu, the User Name = Melissa & Tim, Password = Duckworth. Enjoy!
