This past Saturday we had the pleasure to photograph the Wedding and Reception of Ashley Jacoby & Jason Gerstenberg at the Steel Stacks facility in Bethlehem, PA. It was a beautiful but very warm day and in addition to their Wedding there was a Sangria festival going on in the central part of the Steel Stack facility. The Bride and her party get ready at the Sands Casino Hotel, with the help of two of our former Brides Jessi & Meagan who were part of the Bridal Party now. Flowers were designed by a friend. The Mayor of Bath was their officiant for their ceremony which took place in the Steel Stacks Visitors Center. After formal family and Wedding Party images we headed over to the reception site but stopped along the way to a few images with the stacking in the back ground. I was sitting on the curb to try and get an upward angle for a fun photo of the wedding party when a woman tapped me on the shoulder as asked “Are you Lance EK?” Upon answering yes, she told me that Linda and I had been their Wedding Photographers 30 years ago! Small world – they then introduced themselves to our couple and joined in a really casual photo accompanied by a large group of festival goers. Susan Drexinger and the staff at The Arts Quest Center, (www.artsquest.com/steelstacks ) did their normal amazing job of great food and service in a one of a kind venue. The couple's cake & cupcakes were provided by Cozze Cakes, (www.cozzecakes.com ). Their DJ was also a friend but the highlight of the reception was an appearance of a John Travolta look alike who brought the early “Saturday Night Fever” and “Grease” music and dancing – a really fun addition to this wonderful event. Linda and I wish Ashley & Jason all the best in the world, they are a lovely couple and deserve it!
