Once upon a time, a few years ago, well maybe more than twenty; a beautiful young cheerleader went on a date with a handsome young basketball player, one who she cheered for.According to legion, they seemed to enjoy their date but never dated again – no one really knows why?Now fast forward about twenty years and those same two people bump into one another again and find out that they have been living just a few blocks from one another, but never stumbled across one another, (actually the story is a little funnier than that but this is just a short blog).There still seems to be a spark there and now a little over two years later we are photographing Karen & Eric’s Wedding at the Thomas Fogarty Winery, Woodside, CA, (www.fogartywinery.com). Karen looked absolutely stunning -Oh! did we mention Karen is our niece? – which had nothing to do with it!Her Wedding Party was made up of her sister Jennifer (MOH), we did her Wedding on Lake Tahoe, two of Karen’s friends and out two Grandnieces, Jaiden & Kendall. Eric looked very handsome with some of his friends making up his Wedding Party, (crazy men!) and his little nephew, (Tyson), as rig bearer. The couples’ flowers were awesome and designed by J Floral Art of Menlo Park, CA, (www.jfloralart.com)
The winery is stunning and we’re on the side of this beautiful mountain, overlooking the vineyard, but someone forgot to tell Mother Nature, is was supposed to be less windy and warmer that day, but candidly once the Karen & Eric started to share the vows that they had written to each other, nothing else mattered. Despite the wind, chill in the air and sprinkles we were able to get all our images done before the reception started.We would have love to go to the many spots we picked out on our earlier trip there, but weather and time just did not allow us to.
The reception was marvelous! Joy & Christina, (EVENTS@fogartywinery.com), from the winery and Schumann’s Four Season Catering, (www.schumannsfourseasonscaters.com) provided an amazing Wedding Reception Buffet Dinner and DJ Woody from Big Fun DJ’s, (www.bigfundj.com) kept the dance floor fill with little trouble that entire evening.The evenings Wedding Cake was provided by one of Eric’s friends, Mark and the cupcakes by Eric’s Sister’s Boyfriend Bobby – both were as good to eat as they looked. We worked with Videographer Graham from Final Frame Studios, (www.finalframevideostudio.com) who was like working with a member of our own team!
We can’t say enough about the day, the Wedding, the Wedding Party and Karen & Eric!We were so honored to be part of and capture this special part of their new lives together.Linda and I know what a success they will be together and wish them all the LOVE & Happiness we can send their way!
