Winds 18 – 25 MPH…

November 8, 2018

So that’s the forecast, at least no rain! This past Saturday, we had the honor to photography Jody & Scott’s Wedding. No photographer wants a forecast of full sun and high winds – but we work with what Mother Nature gives us. We contracted with Jody & Scott vis the Knot and never met other than on line and over the phone, the 12th such event this year like that, and I have to say each one of them has been stellar! We caught up with the Bride and the ladies at one of the cabins at Hide Away Hills, (www.hideawayweddings.com) where we would eventually come back to, in order to celebrate their Wedding Reception. The couples floral Arrangements we created bySilks N More, (www.theknot.com/marketplace/silksnmore-floral-desi...) and were stunning, especially in the reception center. The couple shared their Wedding Vows at St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church; Fr. James provided a beautiful and meaningful ceremony. After Church formals it was off to the town of Jim Thorpe. The town was swamped because of all the Autumn activities that go on there.Somehow we got parking by the train station and amid the hundreds of sightseer’s and with gusty winds we were able to get some awesome photos there in the town Gazebo and a few street scenes. Then it was back to Hide Away Hills for some more images with the Bride and Groom at one point I thought because of her veil, she would have been like the flying Nun and take off, but once again we got some good ones. The Ballroom looked amazing; Jody & Scott did a lot of their own décor, with lots of white birch and woodsy accents – just stunning.Joseph Farda, VP of the venue and the staff there delivered a great night of food and service, as always.Their cake was created by Kinsley Bakery at Shoprite, (www.shop.shoprite.com/store/10BC78912), and was stunning, like all the other cakes I have seen from their shop!Entertainment was provided by Soundbar Entertainment, (www.soundbardjs.com), DJ and Owner Dave was a real professional, easy to work with and made it a smooth and hoppin’ night.I must say based on the weather report of the high winds and low temperatures, we never expected to get the stunning images that we did.Jody and Scott were real troopers and we are honored to have been a part of their Special Day and all of us at Reflections Creative Photography wish the two of them a lifetime of LOVE and Happiness.
