It’s where you fine it!
There’s a center city cemetery in downtown Allentown, between 9th & 10th and Linden & Turner Streets. Sometimes when we are coming back from someplace in downtown on our way to our son and daughter-in-law’s home in the early evening we pass through there. I always find it both interesting and sad during those few moments of our walk. Interesting to see how long ago loved ones were laid to rest here, (this evening I saw one that dated back to 1851) and the thoughts and words engraved on their lives monuments: love ones lost at months old and/or many generations old. Sad because of the repair of these final tributes to Mother, Father, Children, Grandparents and even war heroes. So, so many of the headstones have fallen off their bases or out of the ground they were erected in. I could go on and on about this, but I’m just a Photographer not a writer, however, maybe this image, taken this evening, says volumes and is hard to find!
